Last year, I loved sharing 20 clever Elf on the Shelf ideas starring the family dog. Luckily, this year, Surf Dog Ricochet, who helps kids with special needs experience surfing, is back for more holiday fun.

Along with her side-kick, Rina, these two furry friends share a new series of hilarious scenes from their ongoing prank war with the Elf on the Shelf.

These seriously funny photos aim to bring attention to the dogs' 9th annual Surfin' Santa Paws Howliday Giving Drive.

As you can see, sometimes Ricochet and Rina are winning the prank war...

Yeah, and sometimes the Elf on the Shelf gets a leg up on his canine adversaries.

As for me, I'm committed to another year of just saying "no" to having an Elf in our house. I'm sorry, but between Christmas shopping, keeping up with the advent calendar, and making sure I'm prepared for every holiday party, concert, and cookie exchange, I don't have time to incorporate another tradition.
