Homemade granola is a delicious breakfast or snack

My kids go through cereal like maniacs.
They want it for breakfast...they want it after school...and not just one bowl. They want at least two, and more if I'll let them. We can go through a box of cereal in one sitting (granted, there are four of them and they all seem to be in the middle of growth spurts all the time.)
So I'm trying to up my breakfast game. I'm trying to get some protein in them, and I'm trying to make sure they have something other than sugary cereal in them when I can (some days are better than others. You know how it is.)
I love this granola recipe. The kids aren't as excited about actual oatmeal, and anyway to make oatmeal I have to do hard things like "boil water" first thing in the morning before the coffee has hit my bloodstream. But granola" Granola is oats and dried fruit and even has some sneaky healthy things like wheat bran and flax seed. And it's delicious. And I don't have to do anything to it in the morning. Ingredients:
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c olive or coconut oil
1/2 c honey
1/2 c pure maple syrup
1 Tb vanilla
5 c oats
1 1/2 c wheat bran
1/4 c flax seed
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c flour
1 c raisins or dried cranberries
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly grease a 9x13" casserole pan and set aside.
In a saucepan over low heat, combine brown sugar, oil, honey, maple syrup, and vanilla. Heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.
