I can't say I fully align myself with either the stay-home or the go-out party. I am somewhere in the middle - wanting to go out sometimes, wanting to lounge at home other times. Probably a healthy mix. But I seem to be always warring with my little ladies.
If an idle threat passes my lips, "If you guys don't hurry up, we'll just stay home!" or "If you guys can't be good, we'll just go home!" - let's just say that my little Junie doesn't view that as a threat at all. She's more than happy to put her shoes on or take them off - whichever means home.
These are the kinds of compromises that are good for kids, right" These are the reasons that you want siblings around. But it's one of those things that sounds so much better in theory. But we know the truth - learning patience means lots of impatience, compromise means lots of "But whyyyyy's"" It's chipping away the rough edges, and it's painful for both mother and child.
