Looking back at the sheer amount of work having a newborn has been is "both validating and overwhelming" for Kristi, a self-described nerd. Not only is she good with numbers, she's been shockingly diligent about keeping track of how her daughter Grace has grown.
With the help of the Feed Baby app and Excel, we now proudly present to you the numbers...
Impressive numbers to note:
Total amount of milk Kristi produced in 14 months -- 70.42 gallons!
Amount of calories Grace consumed in breast milk -- 180,280 (equal to eating roughly 320 Big Macs). Average time spent breastfeeding during the first three months -- 4.8 hours per day.
Here's what all that time looks like.
Kristi explained to BabyCenter that she "started tracking because it was drilled into our heads during baby prep classes that baby needs x number of wet/dirty diapers. Then I had a big baby and she lost 9 percent of her birth weight in two days and I got kind of obsessive with it."
