How to back up your phone?s photos in about 3 seconds

Shortly after my youngest, Charles, turned 4 months old, I started receiving these horrid phone messages every time I went to take a video or download the latest toddler-friendly app. My phone told me "Not enough storage to download application," or "Could not record video. Check phone storage."
I spent a couple of weeks going through and deleting apps I never used, a photo here and there, and procrastinating on finding more realistic ways in which I could resolve the issue.
That is until one morning I went to look for a photo for a work project and they were ALL GONE. Every. Single. One.
I feverishly searched my phone looking for my photos. Were they now stashed in a secret gallery" Did I have a mini SD card they moved to" The answer: No, they were all gone, never to be seen again. Being of the Sex and the City generation, scenes from Carrie?s horrible laptop incident, in which she loses everything and had not backed up her data, flooded my mind. Had I learned nothing from my Manhattan friends"
From there I spent days trying to get photos from Charlie?s first 4.5 months of life by creeping on the social media outlets of my friends and family and borrowing back pictures of my precious.
I can tell you from experience that relying on your (and others') Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages as safe-keeping for your most precious memories is not a good idea. Neither is emailing yourself dozens o...
