Hurry: The Babies "R" Us Greater Trade-In Event ends March 18
by Kelly Wilbanks posted in Products
It's hard to believe that the first convertible car seat I bought for my almost 6-year-old daughter expired last month. She was so tiny when I pulled it from the shelf, discovered it was on sale, and popped it in the cart to replace her infant seat. It's been a staple in our van ever since.
Though the seat has some sentimental value, I'm glad to have somewhere to unload it -- and you still have a few more days to bring your used baby gear in to Toys "R" Us or Babies "R" Us to get a coupon for a discount on something new. The trade-in event ends March 18.
Did you know car seats expire after 6-10 years" I had two expired car seats and two car seat bases to bring in, which meant I would get four 25 percent off coupons, as you get one per piece of gear. I gathered up my little girls and went to our local Toys "R" Us. The store manager came over, seeing our already loaded cart, and asked if he could bring it into the store for me. My coupons were waiting for me when I walked in the door. Then it was time to shop.
Here is a list of the items you can bring in to trade: car seats, car seat bases, infant swings, infant seats, pop 'n' plays, strollers, bouncers, jumpers, walkers, travel systems, high chairs, entertainers, playards, bassinets, cribs, toddler/twin beds, crib/toddler mattresses, clothing, clothing accessories, and shoes. Yes -- I said clothing, which is why this event is better than the ones...
