I stink at imaginative play with kids, but I love to create

Hand me a Barbie, Lego creation, or toy car and my mind goes blank. While the preschooler next to me zooms, vrooms, and fights epic interstellar battles I get the equivalent of stage fright.
Even when I was a kid I was inept at imaginative play. My best friend had an entire family of Barbies with interwoven story lines (lead by protagonist D.D., the famous director's daughter, of course), but all I ever did was change an outfit then quickly lose interest.
But I may not be totally lame. In fact, I love setting up silly creative projects like these, by All That Is She creator Dominique Davis.
"The first image we posted gained such a positive reaction on Instagram ? gaining 14k likes (back when my following was 20k) ? so, the following week we decided to create another, this time mimicking smiles using watermelons," Dominique told BabyCentre UK. "It gained a similar response, and that?s when we knew it was going to have to become a regular series. It?s been running for over a year now, and each week we try to come up with a new idea, a new direction, a new surprise." Helping her create are husband Dominic, 11-year-old Amelia, and 4-year-old Penny. The images take the family about 10 minutes to shoot on Sunday mornings.
