I tried these 8 unconventional things to boost my fertility

I got married three months before my 40th birthday. To say my husband and I wanted to get pregnant soon thereafter is an understatement. We wanted a baby and my proverbial biological clock was ticking quickly and loudly.
This week is National Infertility Awareness Week (April 22-28, 2018). To help continue the conversation around this important topic, I?ve decided to share my personal journey toward pregnancy.
Given my age we realized there could be challenges to conceiving naturally. I?d previously gone through several rounds of fertility treatments with my ex-husband and knew what that entailed. I desperately hoped I wouldn?t have to walk that path a second time.
We gave ourselves a ?get pregnant or see the doctor? deadline. I scoured the internet, read books, and quizzed friends on ways to increase my fertility naturally.
I used ovulation kits and tracked my cycle with an app on my phone, but wasn?t going to rely on that alone. Nothing scared me, I was willing  to try it all. I spoke with my doctor to get clearance, and away I went. Here are some of the things I tried.
Fertility hypnosis. They say the mind is a powerful tool. I decided to put mine to work and just tell myself I was fertile and could have a baby.
