It all started with an Instagram photo, an image of me with my newborn son. I never would have guessed it would incite a group of moms to attack and bully me to the point where I thought about suicide.
For months I didn?t want to share this story. I wasn?t embarrassed, I was just afraid that talking about it would draw attention to me and I?d be bullied all over again.
But over time I began to wonder what silence would teach my son. By not speaking out was I giving in" I started to worry for other moms who have been -- or will be -- treated similarly and questioned if telling my story would help another in my situation. I decided not to stay quiet. What happened to me wasn?t okay and it needs to stop.
I?m an avid Instagram user, it allows me to share experiences and connect directly with other moms. I?ve been documenting each milestone, diaper blowout, and sleepless night along my journey.
