I would have missed all these milestones without my baby monitor

The first time my son sat up unassisted was at 5 months old in his crib in the middle of the night. It was 3:42 a.m. to be exact, and I woke up because I heard him squealing. I rolled over, checked the baby monitor, and saw my son sitting upright, staring directly into the camera across the room. I zoomed in and saw this infectious smile on his face.
I was so happy that moment was caught on camera, even if it was the middle of the night. I couldn't be with him every minute, but thanks to my baby monitor I got pretty close.
There were so many things that I wanted to capture and celebrate, things I was afraid I'd miss: rolling over, taking first steps, learning to speak. I also didn't want to miss out on the first time each of my kids slept through the night, snuggled with a lovey, or stood up in the crib (for safety as well as for cuteness, am I right"). I've had the same Summer Infant baby monitor since 2011, adding cameras as I added children. I love that I can keep an eye on my beautiful sleeping children even while I'm cleaning the kitchen or answering emails on my computer. (In the market for a new monitor" The new Summer Infant Panorama? Digital Color Video Monitor looks awesome with a camera lens that pans and tilts remotely from the parent handheld and zooming capabilities!)
I could have missed out on so many unmissable moments, but I haven't missed a thing. Not only did I catch my son sitting up in the midd...
