If moms flaunted formula feeding on social media

In the car. At a restaurant. At Target. On a train. On a plane! In the night, with a kite.
I?ve formula fed my babies everywhere moms have breastfed.
I just don?t feel the need to flaunt it on social media, a topic that was hotly debated in the BabyCenter community recently.
Like many formula-feeding (and breastfeeding) moms, I?ve never posted a photo of myself feeding my babies to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Snapchat. Okay fine, I?m not on Snapchat. But you get my point.
Before you go there, and suggest that I?m ashamed of formula feeding, and that is why I don?t post pics, STOP. While I certainly feel judged from time to time for not breastfeeding, the reason I haven?t flaunted feeding my babies is the same reason I don?t post pictures of diaper changes. Caring for your baby is what you do. Moms have been doing it for ages! Before Facebook, moms fed their babies. In caves, moms fed their babies. Did they feel the need to brag about it to their fellow cave moms" Well, maybe they did. I wasn?t there. Maybe caves were plastered with breastfeeding hieroglyphics, just so mamas would feel they had someone to relate to during particularly challenging moments.
Look, I think it?s beyond awesome to breastfeed. I?ll admit I wish I?d stuck with it longer, instead of switching to formula. But I know DEEPÂ within my soul, that not breastfeeding is the sole reason I didn?t get sucked into the deep, dar...
