I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day. I'm all for romance, but I have a thing about spending money on overpriced roses and squishing into over-crowded restaurants. So, most years the holiday passes by and I barely even notice it. This year, though, of all the Valentine's Day related hashtags that flooded the internet, there was one that caught my eye.
#IfMomWroteCandyHearts
You know candy hearts. Those age-old sugary, chalky treats bearing heartfelt sentiments like TXT ME and UR CUTE. Now imagine that moms wrote them. Sweet messages that remind our children how much we love them, even if it sometimes drives them - and us - crazy. That is the idea behind this trending hashtag, and it is pretty much the best thing about Valentine's Day.
