Joyous pics: Mom celebrates her rainbow baby with rainbow hair

After a tough first pregnancy, mom and nail technician Meleasa wasn't sure she could handle going for baby #2. "So needless to say I was shocked to see a faint positive on a pregnancy test five months later," she told BabyCenter in an email. Still, Meleasa and her husband were overjoyed at the prospect of having another child.
"Unfortunately our joy and excitement didn't get to last very long," the crushed mama told us, adding that although she wasn't very far along, her grief was overwhelming when she realized she'd never get to hold this baby, whom they named Graisyn Leigh, in her arms.
"I have learned through this that no matter how far along you are in your pregnancy, to lose that baby is very hard. Because I felt guilty for the longest time that I almost didn't have a right to grieve that baby like a momma who had a much further miscarriage/still birth/loss of a child. But my heart still ached for that baby." Soon, Meleasa was pregnant again. "Out of fear I waited till I got an ultrasound to really feel excited," she says. "But lo and behold the little bean was there on the screen!" For nine months, Meleasa confesses she felt anxious. "Even with the kicks I still was worried. There were some serious mixed emotions because I wanted to be excited, but was feeling like I was forgetting my second baby.
