I love tissue paper flowers for many reasons, but one really great thing is that it's a craft that's simple enough for kids to do, but it can look really elegant, too. We made a bunch today and tied them to my daughter's bike.
But a year ago, we made a bunch and tied them to the archway my sister stood under to get married. They can go either way. If you're going to make them for a baby or wedding shower, I'd say stick to one color, or very subtle variations of colors to get a really classy look. And go BIG and poufy. Never pass up an opportunity to go big and poufy, I say. Supplies:
tissue paper (each flower requires 3 sheets of tissue paper)
green pipe cleaner
scissors
Instructions:
Stack three sheets of tissue paper on top of each other. Lay them out vertically (portrait-ways). Fold the bottom edge up about 1 in.
