Kids in the kitchen: Leprechaun bait
by Lindsay Weiss posted in Life & Home
This is a great recipe for the little hands in your house who want to help. Lucky Charms has a special edition cereal out right now, with green clovers and gold coins that is perfect for this recipe. I threw a box in my cart at the grocery store recently and thought I can do something with this.
Fast forward an hour later and my 8-year-old bursts in the door from school yelling "I'LL BE UPSTAIRS FIGURING OUT HOW TO TRAP A LEPRECHAUN!!"
Those green Lucky Charms were still on my counter. Ding, ding, ding!
Carter and I surveyed our pantry trying to think like leprechauns. Granola" No. Ritz bits" No way. But we picked out a few things we thought might lure him in...
I can tell you firsthand that this stuff is delicious. And addicting. If you are forced to eat this out of your kid's leprechaun trap night after night...well, there are worse punishments. Hypothetically, of course. Because we have a sneaky little leprechaun in our house who just can't be contained Looking for more Sweets and Eats for the Whole Family" Find Lindsay at Sugar Mama.
