LEGO fans rejoice! New nonfiction books are a hit

Believe it or not, my boys have already gone back to school. Last week, in fact, we packed up our newly-minted kindergartener and second-grader and off they went to start another year of learning.
We've had a great summer with lots of downtime but we also tried to keep reading as a priority. Our oldest is just at that tipping point where he is really starting to get interested in books so we're taking every opportunity we can to encourage his reading process.
As a longtime LEGO® fan, when I heard they had partnered with Scholastic to create new nonfiction books, I knew my boys would love them. Not only do the books combine one their favorite toys with real facts about topics they are interested in, they are great quality and fun to come back to again and again. He loved learning about space and sharks, while my youngest was fascinated to learn about "real-life knights." I love that the books combine reality and play throughout the pages. These books are bright, interesting and great for young readers. We're hooked!
LEGO Nonfiction books are primarily made for elementary age kids and are categorized into two different styles. The ?Leveled Readers? series will consist of three levels which will be called out on book covers. Each level builds in complexity as the child?s nonfiction literacy skills progress.
