Little scientist at home" 7 science gifts to further their experiments
by Sabrina Garibian posted in Products
I love gifts that encourage your children to learn about something that fascinates them or opens their minds to new ideas. These science gifts for kids will do both. All have been tried and tested by my little scientists and they each give them two thumbs up. Stick a few of these on your holiday list to help the cold winter days pass by with fun. Enjoy!
7 science gifts for kids to further their experiments:
1. Learning Resources Jumbo Magnifiers, set of 6 (Amazon, $22.49)
These jumbo magnifying glasses have lenses that are about the size of an adult hand spread out. Think BIG. They are easy for toddlers to hold and not easy for older kids to lose. We use them for everything from examining worms to checking out threads in a tightly woven fabric. 2. National Geographic Break Open Geodes, set of 10 (Amazon, $24.99)
With winter coming, I like to have a small collection of craft and activity kits ready to go. This geode kit is something we've received as a gift more than once, and we never get sick of it. This kit does not come with a little mallet, but I think that is part of the fun. I set out several different tools, from chopsticks to a grown up mallet, and let the kids decide how to break open their geodes. Note that this can get messy, so set down an old tablecloth first!
3. Learning Resources Primary Science Lab (Amazon, $18.99)
You can use this lab set to conduct the experiments included in the box. You can simply fill up the beak...
