Make beautiful flower cards for Mother's Day
by Laura Falin posted in Life & Home
You know what I really want for Mother's Day"
Not jewelry or chocolates or flowers (do not misunderstand me, Dear Husband. I want those things every other day of the year, and lots of them if possible.) But on Mother's Day, I really do want something sweet, and heartfelt, and handmade from the kids. And a nap.
My kids are still little. When they're adults, they can buy me the jewelry and the flowers and the stuff (a girl can dream...), but while they're little I want things they've made themselves. Bead necklaces, and coupons for doing chores, and handmade cards. When they're grown, I will not get things like this anymore:
Smooth any excess glue or air bubbles out with your fingers and wash your hands immediately after.
Allow the cards to dry overnight, then write messages on the inside. If the edges of your card get saturated with glue, they may curl up a little. You can press your card flat under a heavy book to straighten it out.
