Make Christmas Eve boxes your new holiday tradition
by Laura Falin posted in Products
Have you noticed the growing trend of Christmas Eve boxes"
They've been gaining popularity in the UK, and I'm now seeing ideas for Christmas Eve boxes all over Pinterest. The idea is that parents allow their children to open one box on Christmas eve -- because we all know they're dying having to wait until the next morning! -- that contains special holiday pajamas, an ornament to hang on the tree, something to read/watch together, a holiday treat, and a toy.
The boxes can be as simple or as elaborate as you choose to make them. There are companies that make keepsake Christmas boxes and crates you could bring out and fill each year...or you can simply cover a cardboard box with wrapping paper and put gifts in that.
We've rounded up suggestions for Christmas Eve boxes for children of every age and budget, and included some fun things to do together (like reading a new book and watching a Christmas movie), keepsake ornaments, a treat for the hard-working reindeer headed your way, and -- of course! -- Christmas pajamas for everyone.
