Make your own homemade frozen dinners with these do-it-all glass containers
by Joyce Slaton posted in Products
Leftovers are my life. I don't have time to make every single meal from scratch, eating out all the time drains your wallet, and nobody in my family is happy with cold cereal for supper. So I never cook a small portion of anything -- I make triple batches of spaghetti sauce, cook 3-pound bags of beans, and double every recipe so we'll have extra for later.
But I don't want to eat the same thing for days in a row. No matter how much I like something the first time I try it, by the third time eating it in as many days, I'm ready for a change. You can take that whole pot of stew, of course, and throw it in a giant container for eating later. But if there was just a little left -- or if I wanted a serving just for me or my kid, I didn't necessarily want to heat up a big ol' pot of stew. I also don't like letting things sit in plastic containers; like many people we've tried to replace plastic with glass.
I'm not trying to overstate my case, but when I found Ziploc's Versaglass containers, they changed my life for the better.
