Sarah Bertrand and Jean Luc Montou welcomed a beautiful baby boy on May 9. The couple named him Julian Charles and were completely over the moon.

Just 20 minutes before her passing, Sarah told Jean Luc, ?I have never loved anyone or anything as much as I love him ? he?s like my favorite thing ever.?

Then, as Montou held Julian, Sarah complained of a headache and started to have what appeared to be a seizure. Montou told TODAY, "I remember thinking it would be OK because we were in a hospital -- and the staff tried so hard to help her ? but I knew it was serious when they started doing compressions and began using the defibrillator."
Less than 24 hours after the birth of her son, Sarah passed away. Not only will Julian miss out on having his mother, Montou?s 3-year-old daughter Jane from a previous relationship will also deeply miss Sarah, who had become a mother figure to her.

After meeting Jean Luc, Sarah quit her job as a veterinarian technician to stay at home with Jane. Montou explains, ?Sarah was there for me when I was having a hard time as a single father. Sarah was there for Jane when she needed a mother figure. Sarah did not skip a beat or hesitate to be there for us and love us from the time we met."
