Maria Menounos is suddenly thankful for her infertility struggles

Maria Menounos probably never imagined she'd be thankful for her infertility struggles, but after being diagnosed as having a brain tumor, she's seeing things differently.
On June 8 (which was coincidentally her 39th birthday), the fiancé of Keven Undergaro underwent surgery. Recently the E! News host, who recently resigned from her position in order to slow down and focus on starting a family, opened up about her health and upcoming plans for IVF.
The past few months have been a whirlwind for Maria, who found out she had a brain tumor the size of a golf ball that was pressing on her facial nerves. Meanwhile, her mother is battling Stage IV brain cancer.
Though a pregnancy would have been joyous news to celebrate with the family, Maria now says she's "lucky" she wasn?t pregnant when the tumor was discovered. "When you are pregnant, those tumors grow crazy fast," she explained to People. Post-surgery, the entertainment reporter say her perspective on life is "completely different now."
"When something like this happens, it?s so important to have people in your life that are going to lift you up. I was lucky enough to have that army around me."
