Moms across the U.S. are eating this to induce labor

I went two full weeks past my due date with my first baby before finally being induced. Those were the longest two weeks of my life. So when I hear about expectant moms trying to find ways to naturally bring on labor once their due dates have come and gone, I get it. Spicy food, pineapple, exercise, sex -- I tried just about all of the rumored sure-fire methods, but none of them actually worked.
It sounds like some moms across the country have stumbled across the secret to inducing labor, though -- and the best part is, it's pizza!
The Buffalo Wing Pie at Hawthorne's Pizza in North Carolina has a very unusual claim to fame: It has reportedly brought on labor in at least 64 moms-to-be. It has proven so successful in this particular area that it's been unofficially renamed "The Inducer." As word spreads, third trimester moms from Seattle to Maine have ordered up the dish in hopes it will hurry things along. Doctors have even written prescriptions for the pizza! "Today we have 64 confirmed mothers who say it has worked for them," Chad Warren, the regional director of Hawthorne's, says of the The Inducer, which is described on the menu as featuring "Special Medium-Hot Buffalo Sauce With Chicken And Mozzarella Cheese."
In order for The Inducer to take the credit, the mom-to-be needs to have eaten a slice of the pizza no more than 72 hours before going into labor. The restaurant's blog tells the stories of ...
