Moving "birth haze" video pays tribute to all moms this Mother's Day

Have you ever heard of a birth haze" Raises hand timidly to ask what this is.
Photographer and storyteller Nicole Burmeister explains the phenomenon on Vimeo, by way of introducing a new video this Mother's Day, writing that it's a "fog, or memory gaps that women experience throughout labor."
The so-called birth haze many of us can relate to, during the most profound event life has to offer, is a reason to hire a birth photographer, clearly. It is also a reason to watch this deeply-moving video tribute to all moms, who bravely and beautifully bring life into the world.
Of course, I am recalling the intense, almost animalistic pain I endured during my previous three labors. And the overwhelming, life-affirming first times I saw my children, at long last. I am also imagining the privilege I will soon enjoy of bringing a new life into this world, one more time. And I'm feeling like, yes, I am rather amazing as this video suggests. So is every other mom and mom-to-be!
