My husband nested for both of us

There's no way to sugarcoat this: The last week of work before you have a baby is hell.
I wanted to save all of my time off for after my baby was born, so IÂ worked up until the point I was actually in labor. It wasn't a physically demanding job -- the worst part was actually the fact that I sat at a desk all day so my feet swelled and my back ached.
Actually, that's not true. The worst part was facing everyone every time I came into work. I may have been at work, and I may have been trying to work, but all anyone wanted to talk about was babies. It was sweet and endearing that they were interested but it also got very very old. It's how I imagine off-duty police officers feel when people make jokes about speeding tickets. Sure, it's funny for the people making the jokes, because they only hear it once. For those of us on the receiving end, it's repetitious. "Still haven't had that baby yet"" I did, actually. Just decided to show back up at work and not tell you all and pretend I was pregnant for a bit longer here, thanks.
"Weren't you due yesterday" Hurry up!" Right. Sure. The whole reason I haven't had this baby is because I just move slow.
Then my husband called. My husband, who for some reason had tons of time off to burn, had taken maternity leave before I did. "I cleaned the stove and I set up the crib and I unpacked all the baby clothes and...what else do I need to do"" My husband wa...
