It's a pretty wild moment when you walk out of the hospital with your brand new baby in your arms.
Until that happens it doesn't quite feel real; there are nurses and doctors around to help you, friends and family to hold and cuddle this tiny human being who was inside of you just hours earlier. The first day or two of parenthood is completely surreal.
Eventually, though, you have to leave. You arrived as two and you leave as three and that's when reality really hits. That's when you realize you really have no idea what you're doing.
The vast unknown of it all can terrify some new parents, but singer Adam Levine seems to be happily embracing it.

The Maroon 5 front man and his wife Behati Prinsloo welcomed their first child, daughter Dusty Rose, on September 21. In his first interview since becoming a dad, Adam summed up the experience pretty perfectly. "I?ve been a parent for three weeks; what do I know" I don?t know anything, but it?s kind of part of the beauty of it, honestly," he told Ryan Seacrest. "There are a lot of instincts, a lot of things that kind of kick in and switch on. It?s a beautiful experience."
What a great, open-minded, pressure-free perspective. I wish I could say that I shared it, but those first days weeks months with my first baby put me into panic mode a lot of the time. I worried so much about so many things.
