No, you probably didn't escape a sex trafficker at Ross

I'm in quite a few Facebook moms' groups. Some are local, some are with parents all over the country. If you're in any as well, I'm betting you've seen the same "warnings" I have. There was one here just last week.
A mom warned us all that when she'd been at a local Ross store, she spotted three men in the store shopping for kids' clothes. She says their behavior was suspicious, and called it "sex trafficking behavior at its best." She posted pictures of them.
This post was shared more than 50,000 times (in more than one of the groups I'm in), and even our local news weighed in. According to police, the men had done nothing wrong and there was no indication of sex trafficking.
We had another incident here about a month ago, where a woman accused a man of sex trafficking outside a library...because he moved her stroller to get into his car. I was reading the comments on this latest story, and even after a police report stating nothing was wrong, people still argued in the comments over whether this was a dangerous situation or an overreacting mom. There were a lot of people saying, "Human trafficking is a huge problem, and even if it didn't happen this time, it could have -- watch your kids!" and similar things.
