Tennis pro Serena Williams sent fans into a frenzy last week when she posted a pregnancy picture on Snapchat. Captioned "20 weeks," the photo was of the mom-to-be showing off her growing bump in a yellow swimsuit.
The reveal instantly went viral, shared online and picked up by media outlets around the world. At the time, it seemed a pretty nonchalant way for Serena and her fiance, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, to share such big news.
Well, it turns out that pregnancy announcement was actually a big social media mistake!
Like a lot of expectant moms, Serena says she had been taking weekly profile photos to track her belly's progress. She didn't plan for this particular picture to go public, and didn't even realize she'd shared it online until the congratulations started pouring in. "It was an accident," she admits. "I was on vacation just taking some time for myself. I have this thing where I've been checking my status and taking pictures every week to see how far along I'm going. You know how social media is, you press the wrong button and.... That's what I've been doing all this time. I've been tracking it, 18, 19, every week I just take a picture and save it. I've been so good about it; this was the one time that... I slipped."

The 35-year-old says she checked her phone 30 minutes later to find several missed calls.
"And I'm like, that's weird. And I picked up and I was like, oh no. Bu...
