Owlet 2 gives you up to a month of baby sleep data right on your phone
by Joyce Slaton posted in Products
Owlet, the monitor that uses a little sock to monitor your baby's heart rate and breathing, has made a giant leap into the baby sleep world with Owlet Smart Sock 2.
The monitor's second iteration has a bunch of improvements, but the one that's going to really get parents going is Connected Care, an automatically-populating data stream on your child's vitals and sleep that you can peep from your phone.
Parents love knowing everything about their child's sleep patterns -- that way lies better sleep for all -- but keeping track of things with a notebook and a pen, or even an app that requires self-reporting, is a non-starter. What, what time did Abigail fall asleep" And then she woke up at...1" 1:15" 2" Without you having to do a thing besides strap on the Owlet's upgraded sock (on either foot, new), Connected Care will tell you when your baby slept, full stop. You can look at your baby's patterns by the day, the week, or the month, giving you the raw data you need to see if she's giving up her morning nap, if she sleeps better when you put her to bed a half-hour earlier, if she's been waking up earlier ever since daylight savings started, and so much more. These are the questions that plague tired parents everywhere! Finally answered!
Less important to every parent, but very very importantly for some parents, Owlet can flag unusual heart or breathing activity. If, say, your child's oxygen saturation falls below average...
