Photographer captures stunning images of her own birth

Although professional photographer Lisa Robinson typically sticks to weddings and portraits, she was excited to be behind the lens for her very first labor and delivery photo shoot -- her own!
Robinson and her husband, Alex Ward, already had a 9-year-old son. After years of trying and two miscarriages, the California couple gave up their plans of having a second child. That is, until they discovered they were unexpectedly expecting a rainbow baby.
During her pregnancy, the talented mama-to-be joked that she should shoot her own birth. But this quirky idea slowly evolved into reality as Robinson mapped out her birth plan. ?I was pretty flexible with the plan,? she told ABC News. ?If it became impossible I was fine with not doing it but fortunately I had a really easy and amazing birth experience.?
Robinson's images of her daughter's December 2015 arrival offer a rare perspective of the birthing experience: Mom's. And the results are simply stunning.
