In 2010, photographer Nicole Starr got a call from her best friend saying her newborn baby boy had Down syndrome.

Since Zack?s birth seven years ago, Nicole has become an avid advocate. On her site she states, ?I [want] to connect with other Down syndrome families in the community and hear their stories. I [want] to showcase their children?s amazing personalities, capture the love, and bring their amazing stories to life with the goal of advocating that we?re truly more alike than different.?

In 2015, Nicole?s love for Zack took her on a new journey of gifting 1-2 photo sessions a month to a family with a child rocking that extra 21st chromosome. And while Nicole only intended to do this project for one month in October to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month, she has not been able to give it up. She continues to photograph individuals will Down syndrome all year round.
Nicole?s expertise in beautifully capturing individuals with Down syndrome has led to innumerable opportunities for her to showcase her work and to advocate.
