Photographic proof that some parents shouldn?t give their kids home haircuts

There are two types of parents: those who think they can give their children a haircut. And those who know they can?t.
Don?t get me wrong, some parents actually are qualified to cut their kid?s hair. They encompass half of the first category. They think they can, and they?re correct -- they actually do possess the skills to cut a child?s hair. It?s the other half of that group that concerns me. Those who think they can, but in reality have no business wielding a pair of scissors near their child?s head.
A group that I now know includes me and my husband.
In our defense, we?d successfully done it once before. My son?s hair is stick straight, that type that hangs like broom bristles around his face. Shortly after his first birthday it somehow morphed into a semi-mullet. We decided not to subject him prematurely to the whole haircut experience when he only needed a few locks trimmed. We cut it ourselves and went on with our lives. Buoyed by our initial attempt we thought we?d try again when it grew back. We duplicated the scene. A distracting TV program that I sang and danced along with (I?m not ashamed to know all the words to the Puppy Dog Pals theme song) while my husband gave him the trim.
It was going great? until it wasn?t. We got greedy. It was looking great so why not trim a little extra, we thought.
Then I heard it. ?Oops,? said my husband.
