Alabama parents Courtney and Eric Waldrop say they always wanted a big family. Their road to baby was paved with heartbreaking loss, but now the Waldrops have nine children, including newborn sextuplets!
The six babies were recently photographed in a rainbow-themed image captured by Ashley Sargent of Ashley Sargent Photography. First little Rivers, Rayne, Rawlings, Blu, Tag, and Layke spent an extended amount of time in the hospital after they were born before 30 weeks, according to People magazine.

The sextuplets joined the Waldrops' three sons, Saylor and twins Wales and Bridge, upon being released in waves from the hospital.

Courtney suffered several miscarriages along the way to realizing this happy family moment. Before the couple's first son, Saylor, was born, she experienced loss, and the Waldrops sought fertility help to conceive their twin boys. Then the mama lost another pregnancy before turning once again to fertility treatments. That's when the parents of three would get the shock of their lifetime, and learn she was pregnant with sextuplets!
Courtney told People, ?I was scared to death. I?m a smaller framed girl, and my first thoughts were on how I was going to successfully get six kids here without something happening to them or me. There was a lot of fear. We didn?t know what to do or think.?
