Prime minister reveals pregnancy: "I'm not the first woman to work and have a baby"

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern shared some exciting news on Friday morning: She and her partner are expecting their first child!
Following a press release, the 37-year-old took to Twitter with an adorable announcement. There, the mom-to-be shared a photo of two large fishing hooks -- one of which cradled a smaller hook inside of it. Which makes sense, considering her partner, Clarke Gayford, hosts a fishing and cooking program called Fish of the Day, according to CNN.
"We thought 2017 was a big year! This year we?ll join the many parents who wear two hats," Ardern wrote in the tweet. "I?ll be PM & a mum while Clarke will be 'first man of fishing' & stay at home dad. There will be lots of questions (I can assure you we have a plan all ready to go!) but for now bring on 2018." During a press conference with Gayford by her side, Ardern also gave some perspective on the fact that she'll be the first world leader to give birth in office in nearly 30 years. (Pakistan's prime minister, Benazir Bhutto, made history in 1990 when she gave birth to a child while running a country.)
"I am not the first woman to work and have a baby," the PM said during the press conference, reports NBC News. "I know these are special circumstances, but there are many women who have done it well before I have."
