Prince George acts like a typical kid at royal ceremony - and it's adorable

Trooping the Colour is a celebration of the Queen's birthday, a royal tradition that dates back to the 17th century. Each year, the royal family gets all dressed up and gathers on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch a military parade and RAF fly-by. Fighter jets roaring overhead may sound fun to a lot of kids, but Prince George must be getting pretty used to the display by now. At the ripe old age of almost 4, he's already attended a few of these annual ceremonies.
That may explain why the preschooler didn't seem entirely captivated when he joined his parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and 2-year-old sister Charlotte - along with the rest of the royal clan - for this year's event over the weekend. While the sight of the planes did elicit a few big grins and wide-eyed stares from the little prince, photos from the ceremony show that he at times seemed a tad... well, bored. If you have ever dealt with the pressures of having to parent in public, just multiply that by a million or so and you'll know how Kate and William likely feel at these huge royal events!
That's about how my kids would have looked at that age if I'd made them put on their fancy suspenders and asked them to please behave in front of thousands of people. Really, though, how cute are Prince George and Princess Charlotte" They have a way of stealing the spotlight at these events, and this weekend was definitely no exception!
