Professor holds student's baby while lecturing so she can stay

One Baylor University professor is melting the Internet with his kindness and compassion after he held a student's baby for nearly an hour while lecturing earlier this month.
Professor Darryn Willoughby noticed 4-and-a-half-month-old Millie was getting fussy in the front row of his 55-minute exercise bio chemistry course. Not wanting the baby's mother, Katy Humphrey, to be forced to leave, Willoughby snatched up the little girl and cradled her in his arms for the remainder of the class. And she was happy as could be!
"I didn't do it for myself," Willoughby told Today. "It's just about me looking out for and taking care of my students ... It was an issue more so just her being able to feel more comfortable and relaxed in class." Obviously, it wasn't an ideal situation for the 33-year-old, full-time mama to bring her daughter along. But when the babysitter canceled unexpectedly, Humphrey remembered what Willoughby had told her earlier on. "Dr. Willoughby said if I ever needed to bring her to class, he was OK with it, so it made me feel relieved to know I would be able to learn and take care of my daughter," she told Today.
And so Humphrey made the hour drive from her home to Willoughby's class in Waco, Texas, with baby on board. The former Marine is currently pursing a degree in exercise physiology in order to become a physical therapist.
