Getting comfortable with being one and done isn't always easy. Especially if you grew up with siblings, it can be hard not to second guess if having only one child is the right way to go.

veggiesaur: I was an only child who is now raising an only child. I honestly loved my childhood. My mom made sure I got to spend as much time with my friends and cousins as I wanted, and then I had my nice quiet space to go back to when it was over. ironsheff: I had a pretty close bond with my cousin, and he was like a brother to me. Look to extended family for familial bonds, but he will be fine as long as you socialize him with others. A++, would only child again.

Rabbits4cats: I was an only and on my dads middle class income we never wanted for anything. I was an introvert and loved reading uninterrupted and felt like I could be quiet but not forgotten in my family.
