Raw photos show the healing power of a beautiful homebirth

This all happened to Indiana mom Amy.
"The first time I gave birth it was unassisted. It was also unintentional," Amy told BabyCenter in an email, adding that her when birth team questioned her timeline of events, it caused her and her son "much harm" in the early days, and even years following his birth. "I truly believe now that I suffered from PTSD from this experience," she bravely admits. "Fast-forward seven years. I am single and pregnant," Amy further courageously shared, confessing, "To say that I was scared is an understatement."
Even after her traumatic first experience, Amy still knew she wanted another home birth, and that she wanted it to be photographed. Enter Adina Brown-Selner of Thistle + Lace Photography, and her images that, well, you won't soon forget given their raw, visceral, emotionally-evocative power.
