Registering as a first-time mom: I have no idea what I'm doing

I've attended my fair share of baby showers over the years, and one of the things I was most looking forward to in pregnancy was getting to celebrate my own. I remember how much fun it was to register and receive gifts for my wedding and while the idea is the same, registering for a baby is so different. For one thing, I have zero idea what I'm doing. At least when I got married I knew we needed towels, how many to ask for, and most importantly, how to use them.
When it came to babies and what products to add to my registry, I was beyond lost. I knew there were some absolute essentials - a car seat, diapers, and a sleeping situation, but when I started seeing lists of baby registry must-haves all I could think was who knew so much was needed to take care of a tiny person" I attempted to work through my registry a bit at a time and when I was ready to check out strollers I did what any first-time mom would do: I went online and promptly got lost in a black hole of reviews and comparisons. Not super helpful! With so many options and not many friends to ask for advice, I took a trip to my local Babies"R"Us to see if I could get my questions answered and try some strollers out for myself.
I was afraid that I'd choose a stroller that was too heavy or awkward to store easily, or one that took three people to fold up and fit in my car. Seeing the strollers in person and actually being able to push them and fold them up was exactly...
