When their first son Ashe was born in 2016, Seth Meyers and his wife Alexi barely made it to the hospital in time for the delivery. At the time, the talk show host thought the birth was "very dramatic," but it turns out that one was a walk in the park compared to the arrival of baby #2.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2013, welcomed second son Axel on April 8, and Seth shared the incredible birth story on Late Night with Seth Meyers this week.
It started out as a "normal Sunday," Seth said. While at the park with Ashe that morning, Alexi started "feeling something," but everything seemed to be under control. The family returned home and according to Seth, "We're thinking today's the day, we're going to work our way to the hospital, but [the contractions] were 20 minutes apart, everything's fine." Not long after that, the situation became much more urgent. The contractions very quickly ramped up to the point where "my wife was in an intense amount of pain, it seems like now it's just one long contraction."

So they grabbed their bags and, along with a friend who is a doula, got in the elevator to meet the Uber that was waiting in front of their building. Unfortunately, though, they didn't quite make it to the car.
"We basically get to the steps of our building, and my wife just says, 'I can't get in that car, I'm going to have the baby right now. The baby is coming.' And I'm j...
