There are so many choices when planning your baby's nursery. Trends come and go, but certain items will always be a necessity. Here are some of our favorites in every category -- you'll definitely need these items for your baby's abode. My top tip is to keep your big purchases simple and classic and decorate with the accents. This will make your furniture go the distance and even make it usable for future kids!
1. Crib: This will likely be the focal point of the room, so simple and classic is key. The Carousel Crib from The Land of Nod  is one of my favorites and it comes in more than a few colors. Mattress: If there is one place to go organic in your nursery it is with your crib mattress. Remember, your baby is going to spend more time on the actual mattress than anywhere else.
