Britt Harris had just learned she was pregnant with her first child when her husband, U.S. Army Spc. Christopher "Chris" Harris was killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan, at just 25 years of age. They were married in October of last year.
As the grieving mom-to-be told WFMY, she feared she would lose her pregnancy due to the stress and sadness, "But there?s always a strong heartbeat."
Before Chris passed away, Britt was able to share her happy news with him over FaceTime.
