Stop everything! Coffee-infused wine is a thing (and I tried it)

I love coffee. I go to bed excited about my cup of coffee the next morning.
I love wine. Red wine only, but it's the thing I missed most about being pregnant.
So I almost died when I read that two of my favorite things were getting married. That's right, coffee and wine got all cozy in a bottle together and are being mass marketed for a limited time by Apothic wines.
Coffee and wine. I mean, could that actually be good"
"Apothic is no stranger to creating interesting new blends -- from the launch of the distinctive category leader Apothic Red to our smooth Apothic Crush and our most recent hit, Apothic Inferno, a red blend aged in whiskey barrels," said Christine Jagher, Apothic?s Director of Marketing in a press release. ?We?ve always sought to break the mold to bring our fans products we know they will love. Apothic Brew is a game changer that offers the best of both worlds ? cold brew and wine ? and I can?t wait for people to try it.? The important distinction the company points out is that it uses cold brew infusion, which apparently requires a longer steep and provides a much smoother blend of the two flavors.
I saw the press release last Friday at 5 p.m. By 5:22 I was at my small neighborhood liquor store and THEY HAD IT! By 5:47 I had poured the following:
And you know what" IT WAS GOOD. The coffee flavor is definitely there, but not overpowering. Both my husband and I thought it would be the perfect dessert...
