"Take your kid to work for the day," they say. "It'll be fun," they say. They never mention there'll be tears and tantrums sprinkled in with the learning experience.
Nonetheless, ambitious parents all around the country are gearing up for Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day -- which, this year, is on Thursday, April 26.

Chriswiss: When my dad brought me to work, I was around 5 or so. His office was huge, with like maybe 300 cubicles. Young and adventurous me strayed too far from my dad and I ended up getting lost in a sea of cubicles. I cried someone brought me back to his cubicle. Good times. DrJohnnySarcasm: My dad was fixing a neighbour's front porch and took me with him. Within half an hour I had managed to faceplant on the pile of wood (twice), step on a nail that magically went between my toes and smack my right hand with a hammer. Oh, and I also smashed said neighbour on his head with a rake I'd found interesting.
My childhood nickname was Tornado, so I guess this explains it.
