When you're trying to figure out what's "best" or "most popular," sometimes it's hard to tell. Are they the ones you see your friends using" The ones with high ratings online" The ones that have big displays at the baby store"
I don't know about you, but sometimes I like gauging what's the best thing of many by sheer consensus. If I'm looking for an "opinion" on baby stuff, I go to the BabyCenter Community, and I just do a search. Blammo! Without even drilling down to the actual comments, I can tell if the highchair/car seat/stroller I'm checking out has buzz.
Curious about what baby carriers our moms like best, I started doing some searches, all the usual suspects: the Boba Wrap, the Moby, the Ergobaby Original, the Babybjörn, the Baby K'Tan. Then I looked for dozens more: the Infantino Flip, the Tula, the Beco Gemini, the Sakura Bloom, the LILLEbaby, the Babyhawk Mei Tai, the Infantino Sash Mei Tai, the Onya, the J.J. Cole Agility, the Solly Baby wrap, the Britax, the Boba 4G, the Ergobaby 360. It's not a perfect methodology, because some carriers are hard to search. Take the BabyBjorn Baby Carrier One, a hugely popular carrier with a highly mutable name. Commenters refer to it as the BabyBjorn, the Baby Bjorn, the BabyBjorn One, the Baby Bjorn One carrier, and so on; they also may not distinguish between the Baby Carrier One and the BabyBjorn Original Baby Carrier.
