After four pregnancies, you'd have thought I?d heard every annoying, insulting pregnancy comment out there.
?You?re getting so big!?
?You're still pregnant"?
"I feel like you've been pregnant forever!"
?Are there babies in your boobs"? (To be fair, my toddler said this)
But THIS insulting pregnancy comment topped ?em all. Seriously, I never saw it coming, because I didn?t realize someone might actually say it.
I was pushing my kids on the swings at a local park when a mom I know walked by and said...wait for it...
?Wow, you really look like you?re due!?
Okay. So let?s start with the fact that I?m not even six months pregnant yet. And I by no means ?look like I?m due.? Or at least I don?t think so.

Even so, who says that to a pregnant woman" I think the look on my face said as much, so this mom quickly clarified, ?No, I mean, you look like you?re due; like you?re expecting. I couldn?t tell before but now I can.?
Oh. Okay.
After she amended her previous statement, I can't apologize that my facial expression didn?t change much. I kind of glared at her, not knowing what else to do.
I look like I'm due" Like, ready to pop" Like, huge" Freakish" An overreaction, I know. Blame it on the pregnancy hormones.
I think the bottom line is that everyone should think before they comment on a pregnant woman's body. Even if you think it's a compliment, sometimes it won't be received that way.
