Jennifer Garner's maternal instincts kicked in incredibly early.
The mom-of-three co-hosted the Mother's Day episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she told the audience full of expectant moms all about her own experience with pregnancy and motherhood. Jennifer, who has kids Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6, with her ex-husband Ben Affleck, said that the first time around she just knew that she was pregnant -- even though her doctor told her she wasn't!
"I woke up that morning and I just knew, and I peed on the stick and it was so faint.... those first few days it's so faint you can hardly tell," she recalled. "So I was on my way to work and I called my doctor and said, 'Can I come in and have a proper test"' And he gave me one, and he said, 'You're not pregnant, it's negative.' And I was like, 'Yeah, I am. I'm telling you I am.' And so, Violet is [now] 12 and I don't use that doctor anymore." I've heard other mothers say the same thing, that they had some kind of sixth sense about being pregnant and knew they were expecting before a pregnancy test ever confirmed it. My experience was kind of the opposite - I had to pee on a half dozen sticks or so before I could actually believe it was true!
