The touching story behind this mom's tandem nursing photo

When this beautiful photo of mom Brittany Morrison tandem breastfeeding her two young daughters was posted on the popular Facebook page, Breastfeeding Mama Talk, she had no idea the impact it would have.
More than 3,000 likes later, it's clear plenty of moms can relate to her early breastfeeding struggles. In fact, they seem pretty darn inspired by her determination and eventual success of nursing two children at the same time.
In the photo's caption, Morrison opens up about the breastfeeding journey with her daughters -- Eleanor, 1, and Lucy, 2-and-a-half. When Lucy was born, she wasn't even able to latch onto the breast at first.
"We went about 2 days where I would express milk (colostrum) onto a spoon and they would use a syringe in order to feed her," Morrison wrote. "When she finally latched we fought with a poor latch the first few days and I ended up with an extremely cracked nipple. The pain was unbelievable and I cried every(time) I had to nurse on that side. I was always told that the first couple months are the most difficult and if I could fight through for just those 2 months, it was be so much easier. We went day before day, hour by hour, feed by feed and we finally got the hang of it! I am lucky to say that since then, we have had no huge issues besides a couple clogged ducts!
