This diaper rash cream saved my daughter's blistered bottom

We only found the aftermath of what led to my daughter's blistered bottom.
My husband was clearing the dinner table when he felt something gritty underneath his shoes -- he was walking in Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning. We quickly deduced that our toddler Evie, taking advantage of our sleep-deprived state, had gotten into what she calls her "salt."
I'm sure she had a field day while we were busy tending to her newborn baby sister. We (wrongly) assumed she didn't consume any but only played with it, as she didn't complain that her mouth was on fire.
My daughter lovingly embracing her "salt" despite what happened next.Â
Fast-forward 24 hours. My little girl came in after playing in our backyard, clutching her diaper with an expression of deep concern. She said, in her small cherubic voice, "Mommy, owie poopy!" She tried to pull her diaper down herself and began pleading in earnest, "Mommy, owie -- diaper, owie!" I laid her down on the changing table in her bedroom and went to town cleaning up a nasty mess. As I wiped, she cried out and was almost in tears. Her room was still dark from nap time so it wasn't until I pulled back the curtains that I saw her bottom, a red and angry wreck from the spice mix.
The poor girl refused to sit down for the rest of the day. She even ate her dinner standing up. But by morning, after a few applications of Desitin, her skin was much-improved.
