This is the very best way to eat a grapefruit

I'm not a Grapefruit Person.
I feel like it's one of those things I'm supposed to eat now that I'm a grown-up. Now that I pay attention to things like my fiber intake and vitamins and other unfun adult-y stuff. But unless it's ruby red grapefruit juice, and unless it's mixed in a cocktail, I'm not really interested.
Until now. Holy moly, adding just a bit of sugar and a bit of heat makes the humble grapefruit a thing of beauty. A tasty, tasty thing of beauty. Even my kids, who aren't Grapefruit People either, loved it.
Since this is the season for grapefruit, and since IÂ may have overindulged in Trader Joe's chocolate-covered peppermint Jo-Jo's just a bit...this is going in heavy rotation this January. It takes less than 10 minutes to make, and it's a warm, healthy way to start the day. Ingredients:
1 grapefruit (I like ruby reds since they're sweeter)
1/3 c brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions:
Cut the grapefruit in half. Run a sharp knife between the peel and the fruit. Slice each of the individual sections of grapefruit with the knife as well (this will help when you want to eat your fruit right out of the rind with a spoon.)
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon and stir. Sprinkle on the grapefruit halves -- get it into all the nooks and crannies as well.
Broil on high until brown sugar mixture is nice and bubbly (you'll have to watch closely during this part...it took my grapefruit 5 minutes, but I'm a...
